Hey Guys!
I don't have a lot of time but here goes nothing...

This week was good. I was kind of planning on having it not go so hot because none of our investigators were going to be able to get baptized on Saturday but it went pretty well.

On Wednesday, a less active that we had heard of but had never been able to enter into the door of, came and knocked on our door and said that she has a daughter who is turning 8 years old and she wants us to give her the lessons. Her mother who is not a member was also there and so we got to teach her a little bit too! She has never listened to the missionaries before but we got to teach her a lesson! So that was really awesome and her uncle and aunt also came to her baptism yesterday as well and we have a cita with them tonight for a family home evening. So I am really excited about that because they have the potential of being good investigators.

AND, I found out that my first baptism in Centro de Zaculeu (His name was Francis Hernandez and he got baptized on the 16th of December) is going on a mission to Vina del Mar Chile and he is leaving on Jan 26! That was really exciting for me. And since there were some people in my MTC group in Provo who were going to go to that mission, they might get to train him! So I am excited about it.

I'm sorry, I have no time today. But I love you guys and I will write more next week.

Love,
Elder Froelich

Hey Guys!

We baptized Orlando and Oliver on Saturday and that was awesome. We also set a goal for the zone of references because the President Bautista is really into working with the members so we are trying to help him magnify his calling. So we did and God blessed the entire Zone like crazy. Every single DAT improved. Every single one either stayed at a large number or improved. So that was a really great blessing.

The zone is doing great. We are helping it fine-tune in a couple of things that it needs to improve but it is getting better. And it rains every single day, actually. It is cool because it reminds me of Washington. So everything is good.

Also, I prayed about the Book of Mormon to see if it was true (because it suggested to do it in PMG) and something different happened than what usually happens. I prayed to see if it was true and then got up and just started getting ready for the day and I don´t know what I was doing at the time but out of know where, instead of my chest swelling up, I felt like my Brain just swelled up with a perfect, perfect knowledge that God lives. The prompting just swelled up and left but in that moment, it wasn´t even a faith even more, it was a knowledge as perfect as I know that if I drop an apple off a table it will fall. That was a really good experience for me.

Well, I love you all. Pray for me, please.

Love,

Elder Froelich

Hey!

(Lots of family stuff was here...)

AND we have 2 fecahs for this Saturday and they are looking really good right now and we have a lot of other investigators that are progressing really well. We have a meta of 5 baptisms this month and I am confident that we are going to be able to accomplish it.

Well, God loves you and read your scriptures every day.

Hey!

...

And Rolando and his family are looking less and less positive every single day. They looked golden and were doing everything that they said that they would do with our commitments but they are starting to not do them. They live with their parents who are not in agreement with what we are teaching and it looks that they are discouraging them from talking to us anymore. So we have a lesson with them tonight to see what we can do about them but it is not looking good. Last time, we left them with the commitment to pray to find out if they should be baptized and so tonight, we are going to see if they prayed. I hope that they can continue to progress because that would stink if we had to drop them.

BUT the two people who went to church this last week, we just put a baptismal date with them for the 17th of this month! We are really excited about it. We showed them Galatas 5:22-23 about the fruits of the spirit and then we asked them if they had felt any of those things when they went to church and they said YES! So I am really excited about them.

And with Hermana Fania, we visited with her on Saturday and she said that she just got dismissed from her job that made her work on Sundays and that she will be able to come to church with us next Sunday. And she has an entire family who is not even baptized yet (because she distanced herself from the church a little while ago but got a family with kids and daughter in laws and the whole thing). So we are excited to start working with her. We have been getting a really blessed lately.

AND I got a new companion! His name is Elder Fuentes and he is from Honduras. He, like me, was raised from a regular missionary to a zone leader. Which means that I am the senior companion in the senior companionship in the zone. Which means that I am training him as a zone leader, which means that I am kind of training right now. It is as close as I have ever gotten though, so I am excited about it. He is a really great guy though. But shoot! I have never felt so not ready for a job before in my life. But I have been applying Ether 12:27 as much as I can and God has definitely been helping me a whole lot. And that combined with the fact that I did yesterday means that I am going to start being blessed ridiculously! So we´ll see how all of that goes but I will keep you guys updated. BUT something that I am super excited for is that in my Zone came in THREE new Elders! In all of the three zones of Xela there were 3 missionaries sent but in just my zone there are three! And they are all sooo pilas, Hna Morgan, E Chicas and E Hansen. They are really great missionaries-I can already tell that they are the future of this mission. I am so pumped that you do not even KNOW! I seriously have a half, extremely content smile on my face just writing to you guys to tell you about it.

This week is going to be really exciting too because we are doing so many things. Today, obviously, P-Day. Tomorrow, E Fuentes and I get to go down to Xela for the Zone Leaders counsel. Wednesday, E Fuentes and I get to have a zone meeting where we tell them all of the things that we learned. Thursday, there is a training meeting for the new trainers and the greenies. AND Friday, the president and his assistants (one of whom is Elder Ronfeldt who was my companion a million years ago in Canquixaja in Momostenango) and on Saturday, we are going to help an area move stuff out of their house because they just closed down an area! OH BOY. So I am excited.

Well, read your scriptures, pray, do everything else that you know that you need to be doing, and you´ll be blessed (3 Nephi 13:32-33). I love you guys!

Love,

Elder Froelich

Hey!

That is crazy that my farewell talk was only a year ago! Something else that is crazy to think about for me is that I only have the amount of time that I gave my farewell talk left on my mission (if that made sense). I am basically DEAD! That scares me because I still have a lot of other things that I want to accomplish on my mission before I "die" and I only have a little bit of time to do it in.

I said that Rolando and his family would have to wait until the next transfers to be baptized is that he didn´t go to church last week and you have to assist church in order to be baptized. He unfortunately was not able to come to church yesterday either. So we will see what we can do about him.

And yeah! It is already time for transfers! With the other president, he didn´t give us changes until the night before at 1 in the morning but with President Bautista, we found out yesterday. So I am excited about that new policy. But there are going to be changes on Tuesday (tomorrow). Elder Bennion is getting changes but I am going to be staying as a zone leader here in Brasilia. He is going to a place called San Antonio Huista which was an area that was closed the change right before we got into the field. And he is going to go open it up and he is way excited about it. Something that is soo exciting is that we are going to have 3 new Elders (greenies) in the zone! It has always kind of been my dream to train someone so the fact that there are going to be so many of them in my zone really, really makes me excited. All of the 3 zones in Xela combined only got 3 greenies, and my Zone got 3 greenies. I am SO EXCITED! So there´s that.

Also, I still have to talk to President Bautista about coming home early. And to see what we can do about you guys coming up to pick me up. I´ll ask and then let you guys know but keep on asking me about it so that I don´t forget. I am not really worried about the adjustment from missionary to student at all. If I have 4 days to get ready to go back to BYU, then that would be okay, I guess. I just know that I want to cut out as little of my mission as possible. I still have a lot of stuff to do and improve before I am ready to come home!

Something that I liked about this last week is that I prayed on Saturday for God to help me stay alert during sacrament meeting so that I could have a really spiritually uplifting experience. The next day, Some people came to church and Elder Bennion and I introduced ourselves to them and sat by them and there is no way that I am going to be dozing off when I am sitting next to some investigators so I ended up being extremely awake and it was a very spiritually uplifting experience for me. Pretty cool how God answers prayers sometimes, huh?

Well, I have to go. Have a great week! I love you guys
