I sent you guys a bunch of pictures today. You are welcome and thank you guys for the camera that you guys gave me. I love it.

STORIES: First of all, we went to the temple on Wednesday. So beautiful and I loved it a lot and it was a great experience for me and for the investigators that were able to come. But that is not the story. My friend (who are in these pictures that I am sending you in this email) is serving in the same ward as me (there are two companionship's in the ward) and at the very end right before we had to get on the buses to go to Huehue again, he was like, "Elder Froelich I want to go to Hill Cumorah” (a small church book store on the road from where the buses parked to the temple). Long story short, I didn't want to and it took about 10 minutes to convince me to do it but his persistence finally paid off, I gave in and we went there. As we got there, there is a restaurant that is right next to it, and a random guy came up to me and asked me if I knew somebody named Matthew Froelich who lives in Spanish Fork Utah and I was like "YEAH! He is like my.... 2nd cousin (what is he to me? I don´t know). And then he told me that he is the 2nd counselor in the temple presidency and that he and Matt had served together in some bishopric or presidency. And then we talked about how good of a guy Matt is and everything and then he had to go to some meeting, I think so we took a quick picture (226) and went our separate ways. But it was so crazy. So many things had to go exactly right for this story to have worked out. First of all, I had to know Matt, who is kind of a distant relative. Second, I had to listen to Elder Franco. 3rd, he had to be in that restaurant and that exact time. 4th, he had to notice my plaque among the, at least, 50 other missionaries who were there at the temple. And then the chances that my ward happened to be scheduled for the 16th of Nov and a whole lot of other things that I am not even noticing! What is crazy, as well, is that it all would have been for absolutely nothing if I hadn't listened to Elder Franco and gone down to the store to look at the backpacks and ties that he wanted to see.

Let´s just think about all of the other crazy stuff that happened in this story and of all the crazy other opportunities that God is throwing into our lives and a lot of times we get promptings from other people that we ignore, but we have to be really attuned to the spirit to be able to take advantage of these opportunities. CRAZY!

Here is another cool story: In the MTC in the states, for some reason (obviously God) I had a huge problem to be able to say the word "ciruela" which means plum in Spanish. I spent 30 minutes seriously just on that word saying it over and over again to be able to say it. So, naturally, it stayed in my brain really well. On Friday there was a conference for all of the elders who are going to train and President was talking and he didn't know how to say "plum" and he was asking everyone-the assistants, the Latinos and nobody knew. Except for me. So I said it and looked pretty smart for it. The same thing happened a little while ago for DNA (he wanted the non-abbreviated version) and I said it. I am so BLESSED.

Also, Nestor is pilas and is going to be baptized soon

I´m excited to train, really excited!

God loves me and is showing me really well with amazing blessings. I just have to notice.

And there is more that I wanted to say but the time just finished.

Hey Guys,

Today I have a couple of good stories to write to you guys.

First, before I forget, last night I was studying and while I studying my eyes were pulled to Moroni 8:3 and I like it a lot because I think that it is exactly what I need to do to help me be a better companion and a better person. And then in 7:48 it mentions that I should do it with all of the energy of my heart. So that was really cool to find

Also, I was studying a little bit this week about Jesus Christ and some of the things that he was going through and I found another example of it in the Book of Mormon in 3 Nephi chapter 1. Those people, just like Jesus Christ, were doing absolutely nothing wrong but they were still hated by their peers. So something that I learned from that, and this week, is that you can be doing absolutely nothing wrong at all, and actually be doing everything good that you should be doing and then some, and you might still have people who hate you. If someone hates you, it does not necessarily have anything to do with you. Sometimes Satan just works in the hearts of others so that they hate you even when you are doing everything right. So something that I learned from that, is that I am not always wrong. I should always be trying to improve myself and focus on my changing, and not theirs, but sometimes, it is just not my fault.

We have been teaching English classes lately and a lot of people have been coming. There is this one guy named Gustavo who is really funny though. I don´t have a lot of time, but whenever I say "How are you" he says "Very good" and to say "Goodbye", he says "Good morning". It is really funny.

This Wednesday we are going to go to the temple open house with our investigators and so I am pretty excited about that.

I´m sorry I couldn't write that much today-- time got taken up in some other stuff that I had to do

Hey Guys!

This week has been pretty awesome. Lots of miracles this week. First, before I forget, my president is completely called of God. He gave me advice that I love. Last week, he told me that I needed to focus on my changing and that if I asked God what are the things that I need to improve, that he will tell me. And he was not kidding. I thought that I was a pretty good guy and that I had reached that point where there wasn't really a lot that I needed to improve but in these last couple weeks, God has not held back the revelation on the things that I need to change. I had a temple recommend interview with the president on Friday (my wallet got stolen about 5 or 6 months ago and my recommend was inside) and so I mentioned to him that he was right and that God is showing me a lot of things that I need to improve. And then he pulled out his Triple combo and gave me D&C 59:3-4. Verse 3 says what half of the verses in the Book of Mormon say,- that if you obey, God will prosper you in the land. But 4 is the verse that really caught my eye. It says that when we are obedient, God will actually give us NEW COMMANDMENTS! So that means that all of these things that God is telling me that I need to change are actually, now that I know that I need to change them, COMMANDMENTS and if I don't change them, I will be being disobedient to a commandment of God. It's kind of like Moroni 10:4. One of the main ingredients to receiving an answer is having real intent and the modern day revelation has interpreted that as being about to act according to whatever answer that you receive. WHOA! Try it guys! It is awesome. My president was not kidding around. And then from Mosiah 2:41, we learn that if we obey, we will be blessed. So with all of these new commandments that you guys will be getting, after obeying them, you will get even MORE BLESSINGS! Digest that for a little while and then DO IT. I promise that you won't regret it.

And there was some other good stuff from the temple recommend interview as well. Before the mission, I thought that I had a pretty strong testimony and I didn't notice it at the time but when the stake president was asking me all of those questions (about if I knew if Joseph smith was a prophet, and about Jesus Christ being my savior, and if I felt worthy of holding a temple recommend) I answered them all correctly but, at the same time, with an unsurity that I didn't really notice. This time, when he was giving me the interview for the temple recommend, it was so much more sure. There was no doubt in my mind that Jesus is my Savior and that he loves me and that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that I was completely worthy of holding a temple recommend. I hope to make it even easier to answer those questions in two years after I get home from my mission. It was just really cool to see how I have grown as a person during this one year on my mission and that I have become so much a better person and so much closer to my Savior.

Something else that boggled my mind is when he pulled up my file to get my member record number for my recommend, I say my picture on my page with all of the other info. And looked so young in that picture! Shoot! It is crazy how much I have changed on my mission!

Also, I asked him what I should do for my major. He said that the thing that a lot of people do wrong is that they don't involve God in the choosing a major process. They will sometimes pray for some test or project or something but seldom do they pray to know which latter to climb. They just choose any old latter and start climbing up it as fast as they can without taking time to make sure that they latter that they are climbing is really the latter that they want to be on. He said that you should consider the time that you want to spend with your family, the church, and to other responsibilities that you want to be able to have.

Also, I asked him about leaving early. Because of the BYU semester and he told me that he can send me home up to 4 weeks early without having to involve the area presidency. I told him that one of my biggest fears in live is going apostate and leaving the church so that is why I didn't want to go home too early because I didn't want to go apostate. Just to let you guys know. But what do you guys think about it?

Claire, I have not seen since the day that I gave her the Book of Mormon and apparently, she is going back to the states to visit her family in just a little while and so I probably won't see her ever again. But I'm okay with that. ASI ES LA MISION.

Also, I talked to Elder Lewis, one of the assistants, on Friday because I had to discuss some zone stuff and so I asked him and then he said "Hey I heard a rumor that you wanted to train. What are your thoughts on that?" And so I told him and he told me "Well, I told the president that you wanted to train and he was really excited about you training. The changes are basically all done and I just want you to know that Pres is really excited about you training so you are probably going to train. You are a great leader though so we are just going to have you as a trainer for the 2 changes (that is what the training program is like right now) and then you would go back to leadership." And then we I was leaving, he said, "We are gonna get you a posterity, Elder Froelich!" So that was cool. I might be TRAINING SOON!

This week has been pretty great though. I have no time though so I just want you to know that: Liliana is going down and avoiding us so we are probably going to drop her. Nestor is doing great and I think that he is going to get baptized this month. We found a really positive guy named Jaime this week while we were street contacting (we invited him to our English classes every Saturday at 4, he came, we invited him to church yesterday, he came, we have an appt with him tonight too, and we are really excited about it.) He reminds me a lot of Grandpa Tom so I automatically loved him a lot when I first saw and started talking to him. J

And thanks for thinking of my while you were reading in the Book of Mormon. I liked that.
