Hey!

I finally had my interview with the president this last week! It was good. Something really good about it is that he even gave me a blessing! It was awesome! He said some really great stuff! And afterwards I wrote it all down in a notebook and taped it in my journal. It was awesome. He said that I am going to be in San Francisco with Elder Leiva for another change and then he is going to transfer me out. Which is great because we are finally starting to get some momentum and some positive investigators for baptism and the leadership in the ward is really getting good too. So I am going to be here for 6 more weeks until the beginning of May.

And I am excited to have the photo of the family because now I can show it to my investigators and also to the members so that they can see what you guys look like!

That is so awesome that Grandma is going to have an award ceremony. She is so amazing that she deserves it. And that Dad is going to be able to be there for it and that you guys are all meeting up later and going to go to conference. And I will look for you guys in the conference center! This is so exciting!

We are progressing with two people from one of our aldeas called Tierra Colorada and they are progressing well. We went to visit one of them named Federico Alvarado yesterday and we asked him if he had been praying to know if all of the things that we had been teaching him are true and he said "well there is no doubt of that. Of course all of the things are true!" The only hard thing with him is that he can't get baptized until May because he doesn't want to get married until Mother's Day which isn't until May. So I guess that we will see what happens.

We have another named Gladys who is the wife of a member and she said that she also wants to be baptized.

And there is another named Francisco Lopez who is progressing really well too, who is from San Francisco! So that is exciting.

Thank you for all of your prayers and blessings. They help a lot.

Love,

Elder Froelich

Hey!

This week, before I forget, was good.

First of all, I have finally started to read those family histories that you sent me in my mission binder and it is awesome. I can definitely feel the spirit of Elijah working within me. Before, I always thought of family history as an enormous bore but as I have started to read those family histories I have felt my testimony grow a lot. We have the enormous blessing to come from ancestors who have always been members of the church and to read about my own great, great, great, great (I figured it out. There really are that many "great"s) grandpas and grandmas and their testimonies demonstrated by the way that they lived their lives. Right now, I don´t have time to do anything but after my mission I am excited to start to do some family history work.

Also, even though this week was great, it was also kind of stressful. On Wednesday I really started feeling the stress and it was just ridiculous. I don´t know if I have ever been that stressed in my life. So on Thursday morning I was just going through and putting scriptures in my scripture memorizing notebook that you guys gave me and I started to just read some of the whole chapters. And I felt that my soul was being filled by the scriptures. Where before there had been uncertainty and doubt and a little bit of fear, was replaced by a righteous self-confidence and courage to go on. It was a great experience actually. It was like the scriptures were actually speaking to my soul personally. And it happened again yesterday in Sunday School when they were talking about Jacob 2. It was a good experience.

I still haven’t had the interview with the president. It is scheduled for this coming Wednesday (in two days).

Also, the gloves that you sent in my birthday box was great. They work awesome. Now when I shake peoples´ hands, they don´t tell me that I have cold hands. And I am also loving the chocolate and the jerky. Delicious. And I also love the little scripture action figures of Moroni and a stripling warrior. And the head warmers! Shoot! I love them so much. I sleep with them every night because my area gets pretty chilly at night time and so they help a lot. And there are some more stuff but I can´t remember and I want to talk about more stuff.

And that is awesome that Cullen´s dad is finally getting baptized! What great news!

And the release date is going to be 24ish of October. So I still have like 7ish months left.

But hey! I have to go.

Love you guys! Thank you for your prayers

Love

Hey Guys!

This week was awesome. AND President just sent me one of the best emails that I have ever gotten in my entire life:

Elder Froelich,
You are a great elder and I do appreciate all you are doing for the mission and these missionaries. You don't know how much I respect you. I'm getting down on my knees right now to pray for you and to find some great families and people to teach. I know the Lord loves you for all you are doing.
Pte B

I love him so much. He is such a humble person. And loving. And he knows how to flatter the garbage out of people too, am I right??

To answer your questions: Haha, I didn´t even realize that it was a birthday cake. I just saw a whole bunch of Hohos (I think that is what they are called) and started eating them. But I do like it. :) I love it. :))

Also, interviews got moved to not this Wednesday but the next one, so I didn´t get to talk to him. But it’s all good.

And this is what happened this week. I have to go right now because of some computer difficulties that really slowed me down.

And I want you to know that your prayer worked so, so well. I had started to feel that I was working in vain in this area and that even though I would work as diligently that I could that nothing would ever happen. But this last Sunday, 3 people who we had never before talked to came to church. And 2 of them are as golden as it is possible. And my companion set an appointment with one of them for today at 6, right at the end of P-Day so that we have to end it a little bit earlier which is something that he usually does not do. So many miracles/blessings. :)

That is what I sent to the president.

But this week was good. The gospel is true and I will try and make the next letter better...SORRY

Love,

Elder Froelich

Hey Guys!

First things first: The mission HAS MY PACKAGE. I am going to get it soon. I think that I will be getting it on Wednesday.

Also, my zone has interviews with the president on Thursday! So I am excited about that. I am going to have time to talk with the president. :)

This week was good. Basically none of our investigators are progressing so I think that we are going to have to start dropping them like rocks because they are not committing for anything. Or, better said, they are committing like crazy but when we go back to verify if they did it, they have never done anything. So that is kind of where we are with our investigators. But it is all good. We are getting momentum.

This week, we did some heavy duty service to the Bishop. We shined his shoes, gave his wife flowers, gave his kids candy and asked him for a blessing to know how to work in the area better. And now he is basically in love with us. And his blessing was really good. To my companion, Elder Leiva, he blessed him with the gift of obedience with an emphasis on mission rules (which is something that he struggles with a lot) and my blessing was really powerful as well. We´ll see how long it lasts but I think that we are going to be getting a lot of support from the bishop in these coming days. Right now he is completely willing to support us in any activity that we do. And treat it as a ward activity. So I am excited about that. We are going to try to take advantage of it while it lasts. I am excited about this stuff!

There is this one member in the ward named Maritza who is so amazing. She gives us so many references of her friends that it is amazing. She has absolutely no fear of sharing the gospel whatsoever. So I asked her the other day how is it that she can share the gospel so effortlessly and without fear when there are so many other members who are completely paralyzed when they think of sharing the gospel with anyone. She said that she just thinks of how happy that they will be when they have the gospel in their lives and that just completely blocks out any fear that she has about sharing the gospel. And that reminded me of a scripture that I cannot remember right now that is in Alma that says that perfect love casts out all fear.

SO THAT IS HOW YOU DO IT! If you really love your friends, you will share the gospel with them.

Well, it is about time for me to go. Have a great day! I love you guys!

Love

Elder Froelich
