Hey Family!
This week has been pretty good. It turns out that Maria and Amelia just moved on Sunday to go back to where they live in some aldea somewhere, which is kind of sad because I don´t think that there are missionaries in their area pero esta bien. We´ve started knocking some doors in a place called San Lorenzo which is part of our area and it looks like there is some really good stuff going on right now. We found this one family who looks like they might work out so I´m way excited about that. So we will see where that leads us. But I´m excited about it because there has to be some escogidos in there somewhere because it is a pretty big chunk of land. :)
And it turns out that I didn´t end up being able to play violin. The reason being because there wasn´t enough time because we were also putting on a little act. It ended up being okay though because I was practicing with it before and let´s just say that it is not the same thing as a viola. It is way smaller, especially considering that my viola was big even for a viola and the violin that I was playing was not full size, so I had to adjust all of my finger spacing and then there were some other stuff but I don´t want to talk about everything. But don´t worry about sending music because I don´t think that I am going to be playing any time soon. :)
Oh, but we had a fireside yesterday (which is the reason that I wasn´t able to write you guys) and I got both of your packages as well as letters from the 17th ward primary and Ryan and Michaela (did you know it takes a month to mail a letter from the US to Moscow? But it still only takes like a week to get a letter to Guatemala through DearElder.com (and they are free) and I got two different letters from Grandma and Grandpa Leishman! So that was awesome. But I got both of your packages and I love them both! I am going to have a lot of letters to send! So that is great. Also, to anyone else who reads this, if it seems like I haven´t been writing back, I´m really sorry. It´s just because I am a horrible person and I´m bad at writing letters. But I am catching up today. So your letter should be to you soon.
But yeah, I did get to watch the Christmas Devotional on Sunday! It was so great. I mostly liked the music because it was all in English so I didn´t have to worry about translating it in my head. Speaking of Spanish, I can understand everything that is said in an English accent (like all of the companions that I have had). It´s just hard to understand someone who has been speaking Spanish for all of their life. But it´s coming.
And to write letters, we just go to little internet places and write our letters there. And with our house, our house is kind of weird. It's not really all that bad but it's just weird. To get up to where we sleep, we need to climb a ladder and the set up of the house is kind of weird too. It's pretty good though. I think that Elder Sigler is from the... southwest side of Vegas. And we still haven't worked out how the phone situation is going to work on Christmas but I am really excited to talk to you guys. You guys will know as soon as I do which will maybe be next week. The president yesterday in the mission fireside (which is the reason why our preparation day got moved to today) emphasized the 30 minutes with your family again. But I'm going to need the calling card number and... I forgot our phone number on account of not working hard enough to remember it back in the day. So if you could send those things to me in the next email then that would be great. :)
I can´t really think of anything else to say. Oh, chiste! So Elder Sigler and I didn´t know what to do on Saturday so I said that we should pray and so we did and so we prayed and he said that we should go and visit the GF of Francis but I could have sworn that he said that we should visit the GF of Henry (who is another investigator) but he didn´t even know who Henry was or Damarice (his GF) because he just got here but we went to their house and they seem to never be there and they were BOTH THERE! So that means that the Spirit basically told me where to go through the voice of Elder Sigler. Anyway, prayer helps with, seriously, everything. And that goes especially for missionary work but also for everything else in life. I know that if you make prayer an integral part of your life that you will be blessed. Also, the Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and this is the gospel of Jesus Christ!
Love,
Elder Froelich
