Nathan. I have been reading your progress and have been praying for you on your mission. I am sorry my thoughts have not been telepathically transported across the US border. My fault! I can't tell you how very proud of you we are. Your positive attitude all the time!.. even when you have a hard time with the quiche. every time I see that word, i think of the quiche pie.. makes me hungry.. i was also wondering: since they don't like to give references, (and understanding that I am new in the church so don't understand the rules of being a missionary) but you do seem to get some investigators that will let you come back.. do you think it might help if you ask the ones that will let you come back if they would like to invite other family members (like grown kids with families of their own or siblings of the parents and their families) to join in the next lesson? Maybe the work 'referral' scares them, but sharing the gospel with other relatives and friends or neighbors may not be as hard for them to understand. I am looking forward to hearing that quiche language. Stay positive. Even with 20 no's, 1 yes is a huge step forward. Many many years ago when I was in sales we were encouraged to get 10 no's in a row. It was very difficult to get that many in a row, especially when you really tried to get a 'yes' but didn't get disappointed when the 'no' came. Hugs and prayers! the Russell's
