2012 Feb 13

2012 Feb 13 PM

Hey! This week was good, but before I forget I suspect that everyone wants to know about changes. I DO NOT HAVE CHANGES BUT ELDER POSAS DOES. So I am going to stay in San Francisco and Elder Posas is going to go to I don´t know where. WHAT A SURPRISE RIGHT?!? But I am happy for it because that means that I can follow up with all of the less actives and investigators that we have been talking to, and now I have the goal to work more out in the aldeas. So we will see how that goes but I am excited about it. At first, I was so sure that I was leaving so I got myself excited for leaving but there was always a part of me that wanted to stay and work with all of the people still. So I am excited about it and about getting a new comp.

And here is something else that I got in my inbox. I copied and pasted it from President´s email to me.

Lewis Bautista Feb 11 (2 days ago to me)

HI E. FROELICH, YES YOU CAN APPLY (he is talking about permission to go to the MTC site to send in my application). YES YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO DO SO. YOU WILL STAY ANOTHER CHANGE. THANKS FOR THE INFO FOR SISTER BAUTISTA (long story).YOU ARE DOING A GOOD WORK.

So I am going to stay an extra change but no more so don´t worry about calling BYU to change my enrollment date.

A cool experience from this last week was that after we got back from Choqui, that night (Saturday) we went to a less active family that has never really received us, but we went anyway to see how they were doing and we saw that one of the women of the house were chopping wood and we asked them very forcefully if we could help them (we basically just opened the gate and walked into the yard without permission) and we started chopping wood for her and piling it up (Elder Posas taught me to chop wood. I am actually getting pretty good at it) but this time it was completely ridiculous how easy it was. Either God blessed me with some newfound strength or technique that I have never had before or he was helping the wood fibers separate from each other so that I could chop it more easily. But I chopped so much wood and I wasn´t even tired at all (okay a little bit but it was good)! and then a couple days later, we decided to visit them again but this time to bring flowers, but we had no flowers and it was Sunday so we couldn´t buy any so we just walked there hoping to find some on the way and we actually made a pretty, pretty bouquet of flowers that we found on the side of the street (they were all weeds but we made those weed flowers look good) and then we asked if we could sing to them and we sang them I am a Child of God and the MA lady said that that was the only song that she knew and her husband (who is not a member) liked it a lot. And we sung them one other one (I forgot which) and at the end, we asked them what day we could come back to teach them and they said that any day we could come by (which is a miracle because they are normally really flaky people) and we have an appointment with them for Wednesday! So I am excited about that for sure.

And I don´t really have any more time left. But have a great week!

Love,

Elder Froelich
