HEY!
We just got back from Guatemala City! The capitol (4 hour drives really take it out of you!). It was the best experience ever because we stayed last night in the casa de huespedes (Guest House) which is connected to the CCM and so I got to see all of the missionaries while they were there. It was one of the most exhilarating, exciting experiences of my entire mission. I saw them and I remember where I was when I was in their shoes and all of the things that I have gone through and learned while I have been here. Before I had the mindset that it was a great experience that was so hard that I would not ever want to go through again but while I was there, and now, one of the biggest desires that I had and have is to just start all over again from day one and start all over again. I don't have any regrets about anything so that is not the reason. I just saw them and knew more or less the experiences that these people were in for and I just got all excited for it all over again. GOOD EXPERIENCE.
Oh yeah, and the reason that we were over there in the first place is because my comp had an appointment with the area dentist. That is also the reason that we are writing so late right now. :)
While I was going to Guate in the bus, I was talking to some girl from Louisiana and I got to share a little bit about the gospel with her AND while I was in Guate I talked to some tourists who I thought were Gringos but they were from GERMANY! And I was like "I know exactly 2 words in German: nine and froehlich" and they got a kick out of that. So that was fun.
HEY! This week we completely filled the chapel. My ward is definitely not the one for the lazy or the weak of heart but we had 6 investigators (in them a priesthood potential and a family) and it was just really great. And some of the menos activos that we have been working with were there as well! YES! We had such good DATS this week that I was outright proud of myself and so thankful to God for helping us out so much.
And the president emailed me this week and said that I am doing a really great job with training Elder Posas. :)
We had to move because our apartment had 2 women that were living alone there in the level above and below us. It didn't matter before because this used to be an area for Hermanas but we couldn't live there. It took us so long to do it, though, because there are absolutely no available houses to rent in San Francisco. But we really put our effort into it and, just like it says in 1 Nefi 3:7 God gave us a way and we found a great house. It is a tiny bit further away from Downtown but I am okay with it.
Thanks for all of your prayers! No wonder I am being so blessed lately!
Thank you guys for everything!
Love,
Elder Froelich
